An abundance of free, affordable activities awaits you in City parks & gardens this fall!
Registration begins Aug. 15 – 28 for hundreds of educational, recreational, and social opportunities

Summer has come and gone, the keiki are getting back to their studies, time for the Fall Program with all your Parks & Rec buddies! The City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce a lineup of diverse and engaging activities in your City parks and gardens this fall, with registration beginning in just a few days. Best of all, about 80% of these amazing opportunities can be enjoyed free of charge!
The catalog listing over a thousand educational, recreational, and social opportunities is now available for public viewing online at pros.hnl.info
With a wide variety of free and affordable activities for participants of all ages, we hope there is a chance for you to take part in the diverse selection of programs, including: aerobics, arts & crafts, basketball, dancing, flag football, kūpuna exercises, paddleboarding, pickleball, music, swimming, volleyball, zumba and so much more!
While many of these activities will begin after Labor Day Weekend (first full week of September 2026) registration starts as early as August 15. Sign-ups are primarily held online at pros.hnl.info (in the “Activities” section) based on the location of your program and the following Hawai‘i Standard Time schedule:
Honolulu Botanical Gardens
- Catalog available online Friday, August 14
- Registration begins Saturday, August 15 beginning 9 a.m.
District 1 Parks (Ka Iwi to Waikīkī)
- Monday, August 24 beginning 5 p.m.
District 2 Parks (Makiki to ‘Aiea)
- Tuesday, August 25 beginning 5 p.m.
District 3 Parks (Waipahū to Mākaha)
- Wednesday, August 26 beginning 5 p.m.
District 4 Parks (Mokulēʻia to Makapu‘u)
- Thursday, August 27 beginning 5 p.m.
District 5 Parks (Pearl City to Whitmore)
- Friday, August 28 beginning 5pm
For those without computer or internet access, you can register for your class in-person at the park location from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. following the above schedule. Please call the park where your class is located to coordinate.
For online payments, Visa and MasterCard credit/debit cards are the only accepted form of payment. Cash and check are accepted forms of payment for in-person registration.

Honolulu Parks & Rec is honored to offer these opportunities to the communities we serve, keeping them accessible and affordable to everyone regardless of their socioeconomic status. In Fiscal Year 2026 (July 2025 – June 2026) we offered 4,808 different classes, programs, and events through our online reservation system, with assistance from the Department of Information Technology. Over 81% of those recreational and educational opportunities were completely free of charge to participants, with 88,789 individual registrations for these activities.
